It has been revealed that the dreaded kingpin and notorious kidnapper, cultist and killer, Don Wanny was hatching a plan to attack football loving fans of the Nigeria  Professional Football League, NPFL on matchday reports.

Don Wanny whose real name is Egima Johnson Igwedibia was shot dead alongside his second-in-command Ikechukwu Adiele and another member Lucky Ode by a joint operation of the miltary and the Department of State services on January 7.

Don Wanny who was the brain behind the January 1 New Year's massacre that left 17 innocent people dead, was killed during a heavy gunbattle with security officers in Enugu state in eastern Nigeria.

Army spokesman Col. Aminu Iliyasu  said Wanny was planning another deadly attack on citizens of Omoku with strategic crowded places as his main target.

"Yes he was planning to launch another attack on innocent people with schools, churches and football followers his priority targets, Col. Aminu told

“There was a presidential directive that the perpetrators of that act must be brought down. We were given a mandate to collaborate with other security agencies in the state to hunt the gang down.

"But all that has been nullified due to the swift reaction, high intelligence network and operation of the security agencies. Col. Aminu concluded.

Don Wanny is a native of Omoku which is home to newly promoted football Club Go Round FC of Omoku.

The club plays it league matches at the 1000 capacity Krisdera Hotel Stadium which is located at Umu-Ewo Royal Avenue, Go-Round Villa City, Omoku.

90MinutesGOAL spoke to a supporter of Go Round FC who simply have his name as Kingsley Adie, who said he is happy with the recent developments and looks forward to watch all Go Round's 18 league home matches with a relaxed mind.

"Words cannot explain how I feel right now, you know our darling club will be making its debut in the Nigeria Professional Football League and we need to project Omoku as a peaceful loving place since some of the matches will be on Television. "We can now watch league matches with relax mind, he said.

Another supporter Kelvin Obi who idolizes Go Round FC inspirational captain Nelson Esor, thanked President Buhari, the Nigerian Army and DSS for their prompt effort, saying he is looking forward to the first home game against Akwa United.

"Every criminal has an expiry date and that of Don Wanny has just expired. I want to thank President Buhari and all security agencies that carried out that bold mission, Kelvin Obi told

"I am looking forward to our first home game against Akwa United on January 21, 2018 in Omoku". Omoku is a nice place so all our vistors we have a nice time after we defeat them after each game Obi joked.

Go Round FC will begin life in the Nigeria Professional Football League with an away game against Wikki Tourist of Bauchi on January 14, 2018 before hosting Aiteo Cup champions Akwa United in Omoku on January 21, 2018.

In a recent development, Go Round FC of Omoku are true to the final of the NNL Super four holding in Lagos and will play Heartland FC of Owerri in the final tomorrow.
